August 24, 2019 at 10:14 pm in reply to: Photoshop error -1 when I build BD.

    Hi.

I am using Encore 5.1 on El Capitan.

What do you mean “you cannot export 5.1 from Premiere without a plugin?”

I have built a 2 Hour BD in Encore with 5 Menus (1 Main and 4 Scene Selection Menus). I have music on each menu.
I have used menus that come with Encore. I try to put more buttons on the menus, but every-time I try and drag a button to the menu in Encore, it crashes the software.

I have edited them in Photoshop. When I need more buttons I just copied them from the menu while I am editing it in Photoshop.

I Check it and there are no problems with the BD.

I set it up to build (25 GB BD, and I am going to build it so it makes a BD Image File).

When I press Build, it starts going for about 2 minutes then it stops and the error message comes up “Photoshop File error -1.” Then it stops building.

Why does it do that? Do I need a plug in for that so it will finish the BD Build? If so, where do I get the plugin and what is it called?

    Thanks in advance

  • OK,

    Thanks.

After I Export my H.264 or MP4 from the Premiere Timeline and Media Encoder and drag it onto a ThumbDrive, what do I have to do to the ThumbDrive itself?

Do I have to erase and format it? If so, which format? FAT 32?

    Thanks in advance

    Thank for the ideas.

I did manage to fix the problem.

I opened up Resolve and when I got to the project window, I right clicked on the one that wouldn’t open and click on Read only.

The project opened, I saved it as another name, then deleted the one that wouldn’t open. It works fine now.

    Thanks

  • Thanks,

I have been using FCP 7 and Premiere Pro for a very long time. So I know how to edit.

Also, If I have a make a new timeline that’s 1920 x 1080 and I put a clip that’s 3940 x 2160, will it ask me to change the timeline resolution so it’s the same as the clip? FCP and Premiere did that.

    Thanks

    HI,

I was just wondering if you found a way to work with PluralEyes in Resolve after it syncs in PluralEyes.

I’m having the same issue. I did what you said. After PluralEyes, I opened the XML into Premiere Pro, then exported it as an XML. Then I imported into Resolve and it’s perfectly synced.

How can I make a multi clip in a Resolve timeline so everything is still in sync so I can edit it as a multicam?

    Thanks in advance

    HI,

I am working with Resolve 14 and I’m having Syncing Issues.

I am working with 2 cameras and an External Audio Source (Tascam H4N) See 1st Picture.

I put them in the Media Pool and I try and sync them. When I put the clip on the timeline, I I put it in multicam mode, it is not synced. In fact the Tascam H4N is not under the camera audio like it’s supposed to be. See Picture 2. Also the Tascam went to Video Channel 3 for some reason.

I usually use Pluralize with Premiere Pro CC and it works great. What am I doing wrong when I am syncing it in Resolve and How can I use Pluralize in Resolve?

    Thanks.

    HI,

I don’t mean the height of the tracks are uneven on the timeline.

I mean that on the VU Meter the levels are not even. One channel is putting out more volume than another. I want to make both channels even.

    Thanks

No. That’s why I want to make them even.
