  • Making left and right track in a song even.

Posted by Adam Berch on February 19, 2018 at 3:23 pm

    Hi,

I’m working with Premiere Pro CC 2018

I imported a song into Premiere and when I put it on the timeline and played it, the left and right channel are not even, It looks like the left one is lower.

How can I get then to be exactly even? Do I have to fill with either left or right track? If not, how can I achieve this?

When this happened in FCP 7 All I had to do was Zero them out and it was perfectly even.

    Thanks in advance

No. That’s why I want to make them even.

    HI,

I don’t mean the height of the tracks are uneven on the timeline.

I mean that on the VU Meter the levels are not even. One channel is putting out more volume than another. I want to make both channels even.

    Thanks

If you have it on your timeline, just go into your effect controls and bring up the left channel or lower the right channel in the Channel Volume – it shows up there by default on your stereo track.
