  • Hi,

Thanks. Here is what is happening.

I select the whole timeline and then I “Render Selection.” Nothing happens.

I select the whole timeline and then I “Render In to Out” (without setting In and Out Points on the timeline) It renders everything and the yellow bar on top is now Green. (It works)

Why does it not render or do anything when I “Render Selection?”

    Thanks

    Hi,

I found this video on Youtube that shows you how to save Presets/Favorites of Filters and Transitions you use on every Project.

I just tried it and it works.

    Hi,

That is really bad. Final Cut 7 had it too. It was great.

I guess another workout would be:

    1-Start a new project
2-Import some footage (does not matter what)
    3-Make a new sequence
4-Put your footage on the timeline
5-Add the different transitions and filters and you would want to use over and over again.
    6-Save the project
7-Open the project and just copy and paste that sequence into a new project that you are working on.
8-Then all you have to do is copy and paste one of the transitions or filters onto a current project.

Adobe needs to put a Favorites Bin or something into the next version of Premiere

  • Hi.

It’s all fixed now. It turned out it has to do with permissions. An Adobe Tech Support person took over my computer and made all permissions for the folder, that this footage was on, to Read and Write. It works perfectly now. It was no problem playing the 4K footage in Premiere.

    Thanks

  • And I also upgraded to High Sierra Mac OS

  • HI,

I upgraded to Premiere Pro CC 2018. I still have the same problem.

I go to import a file and it freezes up on me and the beach ball shows up and I have to force quit it.

Any other ideas on what could be causing this problem?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I just looked at the link you sent me. That was for Premiere Pro CC 2015.3. I have Premiere Pro CC 2015. I looked all around and I do not see a Proxy choice anywhere in that version.

Do you know if there is one in CC 2015? If not, is there another way to import this footage into Premiere?

    Thanks in advance

  • I am working with 4K media that was shot with a Sony camera. My media is on an external USB 3 Hard Drive,

I don’t know what Codec it is. DO I have to download a codec from sony or adobe? If so, which one and where do I get it?

    Thanks in advance.

    HI Thanks.

OK When I play the clips through VLC, without Premiere open the clips play fine. When I open Premiere and try to import the clips, it goes to the Beach Ball and doesn’t do anything else. I always have to Force Quit Premiere.

How can I stop this from happening? All I want to do is select all of the clips, import them into Premiere and start working.

Do I need to download a Codec or something? If so, which one and where do I get it?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

I’m not worried about losing features. All it is is a 2 minute video with cuts only and some music.

    Thanks
