Yep = changing all the comps to 23.976 seemed to work.

Dave – I’m on a “virgin “CS5, I know the update is out but I don’t like to update in mid-project.
what are the new perks of the update ?

Thanks. Did a memory test – looks OK.
AE is updated to 10.0.1.
Multiprocessors render is turned off.
I’m going to try a fresh install. See if that helps.

I’m not using a HD array, I’m just capturing to the MacPro’s internal SATA HD (1tb).

Also, the import is fine when I’m using my MacBook Pro (1st Generation), and capturing to FireWire 400 drives.

Well, seems to have nailed it
(and sweating heavily while doing so)

Apparently, my OS Audio / Video settings (in the Utilities foldah) were routing the Output not to the speakers.
Corrected it, and the seq appears to play well.

Hi Steve,
I was wondering what is your hard-drive configuration for such capturing end editing on FCP.
Did you use regular FW400/800 disks ? how much disk space does this capturing use ?
and (not AE but FCP related), did you capture offline and used media manager to capture online later?
how did this tool work ?

I tried to use DV Matte (not for this project)
but didn’t really like its blurry masks and soft edges.

However, I decided to drop the green screen vid and come up
with another direction. Especially after I’ve seen another
greenscreen video of his band and saw the mess Alex was talking about.

Sorry if my intention is not clear enough:
I don’t want to log on the 5.1 machine. Just use capture now to capture 20min clips.
I’ll use the QUICKTIME files only – no XML or other data needed.

The question is will the Quicktime fille differ from 5.1 to 4.5 ?

Both machines run 10.4.8 and have quicktime 7 on.

A recapture (or any capture on the 4.5 system for that matter) is what Im trying to avoid,
just so I can use the G5 for work and not tie the machine up for 5 hours.

eriness, you mind explaining this to us stoners ?
I’m kinda new to AE7 and not know all the bells and whistles of TimeWarp.
(or did you just mean good old time remap)
Can you use an expression to toggle hold keyframes or is this all hand labor ?
