Just thought I’d share this with you, its not a question but some (hopefully) useful information.

I am about to do some greenscreen work for Standard Definition output (PAL), but I thought I’d try and shoot HDV since I can’t get hold of digibeta or DVC Pro etc etc. and I figured the extra resolution must be worth a shot over DV CAM.

I emailed Graeme Nattress at https://www.nattress.com/ who very kindly gave me the following advice:

1 – shoot interlaced. You can always de-interlace if needed afterwards.

    2 –

    Hi Steve,
I was wondering what is your hard-drive configuration for such capturing end editing on FCP.
Did you use regular FW400/800 disks ? how much disk space does this capturing use ?
and (not AE but FCP related), did you capture offline and used media manager to capture online later?
how did this tool work ?

    cheers
    ace

    this kind of better
