    Audio Lagging on Playback & Scrubbing

    Setup: Macbook Pro, 10.4.8, FCP 5.1.2
    DV-PAL ===> Footage on external FW Drive

    Recently, I’ve been getting an annoying lag on playback
    on the canvas. More than a second.

    Also, scrubbing the timeline doe’s not always preview Audio
    (it is checked in the Views menu)

    of course, this is not healthy for a fun editing session.

    Any Ideas or help will be much appreciated

    Well, seems to have nailed it
    (and sweating heavily while doing so)

    Apparently, my OS Audio / Video settings (in the Utilities foldah) were routing the Output not to the speakers.
    Corrected it, and the seq appears to play well.
