Of course, I meant compress standard DV at higher quality than the standard MPEG-2 60MM codec. So that a 20 minute piece that burns about 1.5 GB might burn upwards of 7 or 7GB. Wouldn’t this be higher quality, or am I mixing up my numbers?
Good God – I was not aware of that. If true. Shouldn’t there be an ‘in your face’ label telling us that? ye,s in my frustration, I probably did unplug and reinsert the firewire in the port while it was powered up. Is there anything I can do to determine whether it’s fried or not? And if fried, what is the cost to replace? Thanks, again. -Rob
Is Quick Time Pro automatically installed when you install Final Cut Pro? I have FCP4.5, installed as an upgrade from 3 My QT player says it is 7.0. Thanks. -Rob
I knew it would be that simple. Thanks, Jerry. I’ve been working on FCP on and off for about a year and I still feel as though I know only about 25% of it. But it gets better every week.
Thanks, Jason. I think I figured it out. I had one of my audio tracks locked, and when I unlocked it, the movie exported. That may not have been the problem, but, at any rate, the error message didn’t repeat.
