I recently upgraded to Final Cut Studio and completed my first segment. When I’m done I export a reference file to bring into compressor and use the 60 min MPEG2 High Quality Encode, as i ALWAYS do. Everything looked like it was successful upon completion but when i play it back in Quicktime, I have all these weird flashing artifacts all over the video. Like big blocks that randomly flash, and the movement looks jaggy. The audio is fine, the video is MESSED UP!!!!!!! anybody?

    Thanks For the Help

When in doubt, I usually restart, and recompress. Sometimes it’s that simple, and it’s not you, but your computer.

Could be a field dominance issue. Check in Compressor in the Encoder tab of the 60min Hi Qual preset to make sure that Bottom First is selected.
