Make sure you’re on the frame you want to save in your timeline, then go to File > Export > QuickTime Conversion, then pull down the Format: QuickTime Movie and choose Still Image, save it to where you want it.

No, it’s the same thing. A split slide will curtain OVER the image. I’d like the image to split, and then push the entire image to the wides, like an actual curtain. The effect I want is for the image to move to the sides WITH the wipe.

I don’ t have two video clips, the “text” is the first clip– the title shot. The second is the video. I tried moving to another track, but no luck yet.

On a couple of projects, I noticed that my colors had lost some of their vividness. I went into the 3-way color-corrector before exporting to Studio Pro and upped the saturation level a couple of notches. That helped. I haven’t had the problem with grain, though. – Rob

Good point. Buried in these advances always seems to be (obviously, I guess) an opportunity for Apple to sell upgraded software as well as hardware, and they’ll have you believing that you are not happy with either, despite the fact that six months ago you were!

I’ve got FCP 4.5, the “old” (from 2003) dual G5 2.0, 4GB RAM, and I’ve been happy. And dammit, I’m STILL happy!

Well, my clients are real estate people, so they run the gamut from brilliant business people to those with IQs just barely out of the “retarded” category. MPEG 1 might be a soloution, but I’ll see what the quality is like. I like the idea of using the H.264 codec. One other question: do I need QuickTime Pro to encode in H.264?
