THey are animation presets as far as I know. First time trying to install an aftermarket one. Adobe’s explaination how to install them is obviously not for 6.5 as nothing is what they say.

Okay, I got it. Is there any way to make the highlight be a different image with the opacity set to zero, so there is no color overlay? For example, so make an arrow appear next to the menu text?

How do I initially setup the alpha channel so the entire background is transparent instead of the standard solid black? I am using AE 6.5 standard instead of PRO if that makes any difference.

There’s no fractal noise, but I do have Turbulent Displace under distort. If I remember correctly, this is the plugin I tried when trying to replicate this effect and it didn’t turn out as the tutorial showed. Should TD replicate the effect of Fractal Noise or Noise Turbulent? Are there any third party plugins that are similar to Fractal Noise?

Also, by watching the tutorial video, they split up their still image blocks to preserve the rounded corners! How did they do that? Seems card wipe splits in straight lines. Did they just leave the area around the rounded image block borders transparent so you can’t tell the difference how it split it?

If so, then I did something wrong. Because in my original photoshop image, the background is black not transparent. The only transparent areas are within the rounded borders. If I import the photoshop image, so that the background and inside the borders is both transparent. How would I be able to keep the video clip (2nd video, that is being transitioned to) within the borders and not inbetween the outside of the borders, since both would be transparent. Only way I could do this before is by NOT having a transparent background and thus the black covering up the video. Anyone know?
