Activity Forums Adobe After Effects How do I install new FFX files in After Effects Pro 6.5?

    What are FFX files?

    Hope I’m not show my ignorance to much?

    THey are animation presets as far as I know. First time trying to install an aftermarket one. Adobe’s explaination how to install them is obviously not for 6.5 as nothing is what they say.

    Applying Preset the first time:

    This from a PDF for Scott Frizzle’s Preset “Quaker”.

    Select the layer you wish to affect, and go to Effect > Apply Favorite. Find Quaker on your harddrive and select it (I recommend you put it in your Abode After Effects>filter favorites folder, that way it waill always appear in your filter favorites menu.)

    You can install them manualy:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\After Effects 6.5\Support Files\Presets

    It would be cool though if the FFX were ascii (as the operators setups are in Combustion for example).
