Any camera (including HVX-200 and Z1) is OK for Discovery as long as program is interesting. -

Do not adjust anything yet,Panasonic Factory Preset camera setting should be fine.
First,try to see HD picture on HD Monitor with HDSDI inputs(if possible CRT one).Composite signal is always not sharp and “washed out”. You really should invest in some sort of Decent HD monitor with HDSDI interface since You have nice camera like Pana 2100. -
If You can wait,then new Sony EX camera should be good.
Solid memory,1/2′ 1920×1080 block,basic manual Fujinon Zoom.
All around $8000. . . but if You can strech it,go for Panasonic HPX-500. -

I have to say with that block inside,it might be a direct competition to HDCAM 900R….but does not record 24 frames.
