didn’t get a reply to my last post back to you on the P2 forum re metadata, etc. – suspect I may have posted a reply after you had moved on.
I will be going to Sydney SMPTE and hope to catch up with you then – I have been talking with Rob Myers and Sandro Ricci for some time now over the “transportability” of P2 between applications.
Rob sends his regards (was talking to him yesterday about an “interim” camera).

The scene in Wayne’s World where Garth and Wayne meet Alice Cooper backstage and fall to their knees crying, “we’re not worthy!!!” Bit of an extreme analogy 😉 but I will be interested to hear your views on the P2 format. I’m still agonising whether I go HPX500 (for short term) or wait for the HPX3000 or Infinity, or really really wait for the 2/3″ XDCAM HD.
