  • Thank you so much! You’re a lifesaver Chris!

But the problem is,Chris, this seems to work with CS6 and CC but not in PR CS 5.5?
I have to manually configure all the project settings to match with the imported video.Which is a pain in the you know where.

  • Maybe one of your plugin is causing this?A faulty codec?Anything
Well these are things you could try:

1.Download CCleaner, its a free App for windows, wipe the cache and everything,The app is user friendly you wont have trouble with that.
2.Uninstall PR Pro CC.(With all the plugins that you have)
    3.Wipe everything again,with CCleaner.(By everything I mean everything!!)
    4.Reboot
    5.Re-install QT and other codecs.
    6.Reboot
7.Install A vanilla version of PR Pro CC
    8.Reboot
    9.Try importing it again.
10.If it works, install the plugins and work.

This will reset the whole cache, dumps and a whole lot of other things, and when you uninstall PR Pro CC,make a backup of all your project files, delete the Premiere Pro Folder that you find in your Documents folder(Do a clean wipe again with CCleaner)

If this doesn’t work, uninstall all the codec’s you have in your machine and re-install them again.

    Hope this works.

This is something you could actually try,at some parts if you could, try increasing the black level, this should hopefully reduce some of the noise you have in your video.

The second thing is,I have only tried this method with a very very few clips,It’s best you either buy Neat Video,RE:Effects or Magic Bullet Denoiser 2.

VOB is not a natively supported codec for NLEs’.
This will definitely help you out.

1.Download Handbrake its a free app.
2.Select the source file as your desired .vob file convert it to MP4.

Then import it into Vegas and it will work.

Yes,I know it’s not something suitable for editing with.
The guy is kind of a newbie about these things.

The deadline is tomorrow,so,I had to work with WMV,exported the final render too.
Anyways thanks so much for the support Ann.

    Abhi.

    That’s unusual.
Premiere Pro is not supposed to do that, and even if it lags,it will only be on the project you have imported the video you downloaded from the internet to.

Check this, did you download from a trusted website not a website you found on google and try checking your CPU usage and GPU usage.

Try working with Vegas Pro 10.It’s the one made for XP.Whereas 11.0 was purely made in the 64 bit architecture for the Vista,7 and 8 Machines.

And you might be getting this error maybe because of low RAM,try Vegas Pro 7 or 10.
You can get the trial at : https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/vegaspro10

And what computer do you use?I mean specs?

Why don’t you try copying the DPX Sequence to your Local Hard Drive and import it.
And,if it still hangs up,it might need some more time, give it a little rest, grab a packet of cheetos maybe?
