There might be effects added to the track which you imported the Picture into.

Try this:
1.Import it into another track.
2.Re-install the software if the above tip doesn’t work.

I have never tried this before,Like you,I render or directly import my After Effects Composition into Premiere to edit.
I have never tried using ExtendScript or anything of that sort.

I always name my files like Scene_ID_Time_Format_AndExportSoftware so this helps me manage all my Renders and Compositions to have a better workflow.

And,If you have never tried using ExtendScript,don’t waste any time on it.Work with the current workflow.
And learn ExtendScript if it’s capable of doing this.
