Automated Premier Pro Sequences
Hey Guys,
This is my first post on here so bare with me 🙂
I currently use After effects to key out my green screen. Once rendered from there I import it to Sony Vegas. I use Sony Vegas because it allows me to add thousands of render regions easily and with the help of the Excalibur plug-in, render each region out with its corresponding file name.
To clarify I render each file i.e. A_names.mov, B_Names.mov etc from After Effects and import these into Sony Vegas. At which point I can add render regions for Adam, Aaron, Abi etc and render those names out of Sony Vegas i.e. Adam.mov, Arron.mov etc.
I want to try and get my work flow all under the Adobe CC Software umbrella to take advantage of the dynamic link features and cut render times and generally improve my workflow.
I have two questions:
1) We have a project coming up where I need to render out 8000 separate names. Does this sound manageable in Premier Pro?
2) Is there anyway with ExtendScript (which doesn’t currently seem to support Premier Pro very well) or a plug-in to allow me to make sequences in Premier Pro from a .csv list (of names), I was thinking each sequence could be 3 seconds as a name file would never be over that. I can then go through one by one and insert into its corresponding sequence the correct name from the footage. Then in and ideal world, it would be great to have another script that trims the excess off each sequence after.
Does anyone think this is achievable or am I better staying with my current work flow?
Thanks so much for any time or thought given to my problem 🙂
Kind regards
Adam
