Wondering if anyone can help on an audio issues I’m having with the importing of VOB files. It seems that no matter what method of importing VOB’s (File | Import | DVD Camcorder Disc or just dragging the the entire contents of the “Video_TS” folder on the DVD) I use, the main audio track is extremely quiet, while the background track (secondary track seems to be fine). The dialog between my actors is very low.

The DVD plays fine as a “DVD” on the computer, it’s only when I try to import that I seem to loose the main audio track. Is there a Preference setting or a codec that is missing? Not sure if this has anything to do with a dolby setting or if a program like Womble would fix this. This is a fairly new problem as I’ve never experienced this before.

    I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e (64bit) Build 738.

    Thanks in advance.

VOB is not a natively supported codec for NLEs’.
This will definitely help you out.

1.Download Handbrake its a free app.
2.Select the source file as your desired .vob file convert it to MP4.

Then import it into Vegas and it will work.

Thanks Abhi. I have Handbrake, but didn’t think of using it in this situation. Let me give it a try.

    Thanks again.
