The 3D in the new version of motion is not true 3D, it lets you work in 3D spaces, but not with 3D objects, other then particles created in motion.

Thanks not being able to go to NAB, all I had to go off of is what I could read online. I never saw anything that sad that you could do that. It is awesome that you can. I just wish that there was more finalized info out there about it.

I am just curious as to where you heard this, perhaps I missed something but everything I have read leads me do believe that you need a hardware encoder to capture in prores 422. I have not seen anything that says that you can capture prores 422 by letting your computer do the work during capture.

The IOHD has a built in hardware ProRes 422 encoder the Kona LH douse not.

It will work just he same ether way. Its just easier to do it internal because you don’t have to have a external enclosure and cables running to the computer.

To ingest using Pro Res 422 you will need the AJA IOHD.
