David My post was to inquire exactly what sony camera was being used all the original post said was sony 900 the “F” is a VARY important part if the model name. And like I also said the sony site was down and I could not look to see what exact camera her might be referring to.

My personal experience is with Full HD cameras is with the Variacam and with HDV the FX1. With so many new camera models our one cannot know every model. Therefor I gave the information incase it was a new model of Sony’s HDV line.

Please assume positive intent before jumping to conclusions.

Exactly what model camera is it you said that it is a SONY 900, the closest thing to that I could find with a google search is the SONY TRV-900 which has not been made in 5 years and is certainly not a HD camera. And Sony’s camera site seems to be down right now.

You said that you have FCP HD aka FCP 4.5. If it is an HDV camera then you will need to get a newer version of FCP because even though FCP 4.5 will do HD it will NOT do HDV.

Do you mean Final Cut Studio 2 because the current version of Final Cut Pro is Final Cut Pro 6. Final Cut Pro 2 has not been available for years.

What platform are you on that is going to make a big difference.

Windows? Mac?

Check at your closest Apple Store I bet they will have then in stock I know my local store douse.

Try trashing the iphoto preference files, and rebuilding the iPhoto library.

The mac will read it but cannot wright to it, that is why the data needs to be copied off and then the drive reformatted.
