Select all the clips and then right mouse click or control mouse click and select remove attributes.

You should look into upgrading your final cut pro the multi clip feature is great for editing multiple camera set ups.

    not with iDVD

Use compressor and DVD SP. I have always told people to create custom menus in DVD SP, why use iDVD any 10 year old can make a DVD in iDVD. As a professional you want something that will stand out, and be unique.

June 15, 2007 at 5:33 am in reply to: HDV vs DVCPro HD codecs

To capture DVCPro HD from your HDV tapes you will need to capture it through a capture card like a Kona.

The signal that the Camera or HDV deck sends out is an HDV signal and so unless the computer is told to look for that signal it wont see it. You are telling the computer to look for a DVC Pro HD signal but you are trying to give it a HDV signal. The Capture card will take the HDV signal and then give it to Final Cut Pro in the DVC Pro HD Codec.

[JEFF SCHEVEN] “‘m shooting a spot on the new Motorola MOTOKRZR K1m phone.
I can import the .3g2 video files into Final Cut, but of course they are quite small.

I’m wondering if there is any up-ressing software that will be able to up res this video to a bigger size .mov?

Note: we will be fully lighting each set up.”

video from any camera phone is not going to give you a good picture to edit with.

But try converting the file with mpegstreamclip

  • [Colin McQ] “I believe the individual file size limit on fat32 is 4gig.”

    yes you are correct

its been a long day and I was a little distracted because I finally have the chance to upgrade to FCS 2

  • That drive format cannot hold files that are larger then 2GB some of your files are larger.

You must ether split the video files, give them a mac formated drive or format the drive NTFS on a windows computer and copy the files over a network.

MS/DOS aka Fat32 is a VARY old format back when it was created the thought of having a file that was larger then 2GB was imaginable.

you should use the compressor application it will give you better control then letting DVD SP do the compressing.

There are plenty of posts on the DVD SP forum about setting, a quick search will give you lots of info.

I only use MAXELL or TAIYO YUDEN, I have found then to be the most reliable. But it douse sound like your bit rate is to high.
