“Recently we had a 250 gb hard drive crash”
“10.3.9 on our existing 250 hd and 10.4 on our new one”

Mabie it just me but you said that your 250gb drive crashed, yet then you said that 10.3.9 is on your 250gb drive and you can boot from the OS on that drive.

are you still booting off of the saposably crased drive, because that dosnt sound like a crashed drive to me

“if I’ve changed the format to HD-DVD. I was hoping to get it into mpeg2 and make a standard DVD”

If you create a HD-DVD in DVDSP it will not play in standerd DVD players.

August 6, 2006 at 4:22 am in reply to: Mixing formats in a sequence

“Archival footage, “throw away cams”, stock footage unavailable in other formats… there’s plenty of reasons why you may have mixed formats in a single project.”

Thats not the case here it was a 3 camera shoot and they want to use footage from all 3 cameras in one project. And HD will look better downconverted to DV then DV will look up converted to HD for use in mixing the 2 together.

August 6, 2006 at 3:28 am in reply to: XML work-around not working for 5.1.1 to 5.0.4 – HELP!

One option would be to bot your faster machine from the HD of the slower one.

Ether physicaly swap drives (probably the best option) ot put the slower one in target mode (restart it holding down the F key) conect the 2 computers with firewire and then restart the faster one holding down the option key and it will let you choose which Hard drive to boot from.

However physicaly swaping drives will work much better and sence both systems are G5’s there the drives are both SATA

    I hope this helps

The closest thing I have seen is a tutorial here on the Cow but it dose require After Effects

    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/page_wrapper.cgi?forumid=1&page=https://www.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/cartoon_look/index.html

I dont realy like the result of it though

I have seen good results on still images in photoshop but would require doing it frame by frame
(way to long for me right now)
