    How is this effect done?

It looks like a Filter, maybe somebody can give out some tips how to make this effect.
A course only in the Apple tools: FCP, Shake and Motion. No After Effects here.

If this has been disgusted before, please post link.

No don’t duplicate or copy this effect instead be original.

Shoot 35mm film and then apply a filter to downgrade it to make it crappy DV like.

Now that’s an effect no one has been using regularly so be the first one to start a trend.

That wasn’t a simple filter. That was software specifically designed for this process, and rendered out image frame by frame. It was started on WAKING LIFE.

The closest thing I have seen is a tutorial here on the Cow but it dose require After Effects

I dont realy like the result of it though

I have seen good results on still images in photoshop but would require doing it frame by frame
(way to long for me right now)

This is not just a filter, or a program. Yes they did use a special program that was created by a guy named Bob Sabiston, but as far as I know it is not available for purchase by the general public. Though they had this program, it wasn’t a matter of just running the footage through it and presto! it’s done. Thise “look” is the work of hundreds of rotoscopers and animators…it is a very tedious process.

LiveToon plugin converts live action footage to cartoon, similar to A Scanner Darkly. Check it out here https://www.dvshade.com
