I AppleTV is GREAT for playing content, however it does not loop. I have been wishing for this feature from the release of the AppleTV. If you have found a way to get the AppleTV to loop I would love to know how.

Oh I already did they also use the EXACT same chipset as all the others I looked into. There website clearly states that the card has the SiI3132 chip set https://www.addonics.com/products/host_controller/adexc34-2e.asp
As far as I can tell all the express 34 esata cards out there that say they will work on the mac are the exact same card with nothing more then a different brand name sticker on the card.

Its called a kernal panic. it
most likely the OS had become corrupted. I suspect the OS because it happens on start up. I do not suspect it is hardware because it does let you boot into safe mode. If was hardware then most likely it would not boot into safe mode ether.
Boot from your install disk and try a erase and install. Keep in mind you should reinstall FCS after any archive and install.
A better and cleaner option is to do an erase and install of the OS and start from scratch.

I’ve done a LOT of research and looking myself, and have learned that ALL eSATA card that connect to a MBP use the same chipset and same driver.
Sure some manufacture bundle that driver inside there own installer, but after looking at the package contents of the drivers for over a half dozen cards, I found that they all used the same driver, and thus the same chipset in the eSATA card itself.

Real Media files are notorious for not working in anything other then real media player, and for not being able to be converted to any other format.
First check if he has them in any other format.
If he does not then ether do a screen record, or if you can play full screen then you could get a adapter that would convert a video card connection to a RCA or S-Video connection. Then a cable runing from the headphone jack to RCA connections. Plug them all into a set top DVD recorder and record the DVD that way.

FCE only handles HDV using the Apple Intermediate Codec I believe, if you captured in using the FCP HDV Codec then FCE will not be able to read those files.
Always best to capture and edit on the same version of FCP to avoid issues.

Thats one way. If you have iMovie 08, bring your exported file from FCP into that and it lets you publish to a video gallery. You can also choose to have it publish in multiple sizes so that the client can choose which they want to watch depending on there internet speed.
It also lets you password protect it, and even asks you if you want to send an email that contains the web link, user name and password.

Well of those H264 is easily the most compatible with other computers, especially if they have iTunes, then they will be able to play it.
If you give someone a HDV or DVCProHD file they will need to have Final Cut Pro installed in order to play those codecs.
