Did you run it as an upgrade or did you do the preferred method of erase and install giving a cleaner system.

You could run the 10.5.6 update and see if that takes care of the issue.

Connecting a monitor via the Decklink Card it is NOT going to act like a computer monitor, it is going to act like a video display (keep in mind it will not be a color accurate display for that you will need a broadcast monitor). Because of that you will need to set your video play back in FCP to play out via the Decklink Card.

VRAM stands for video ram, and it refers to how much ram your video card has built onto it.
You would need a better graphics card to run the application, but because you are on a laptop it is not something that can be upgraded.
If you wish to use the application Color you will need to get a new machine.

No 10.4 does not require an intel proceser it was actualy released over a year before apple started using intel chips.
I don’t know where you will be able to purchase a copy of 10.4 though it has not been sold for over a year.
The other issue you might run into is I don’t know if your FCP will let you install it on an old iMac like that, it may not meat the system requirements.

Its also nice to be able to take it if and have a regular keyboard during the times you are not using FCP.

The disks that came with your MacBook will ONLY work on your MacBook that are spicific to that model machine.
You need to purchase a retail copy of leopard. You will be able to install from that plus you will then have a legal copy on both machines. You need to have one legal copy for each machine you have installed it on.
