To my knoledge the 5D saves video as h264 files. H264 is not a good codec to edit with, you should convert the files to a more friendly editing format.

Try selecting it and pressing command+delete that should send it to the trash. Then try emptying the trash via the finder.

Who would not want one, the problem is at they are just WAY WAY WAY to expensive right now.
Sure the applications may launch a little faster but overall I don’t think that it would make that big of a difference for FCP. FCP relies heavily on the processor ram and media drive speed. So unless you had the money to do something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96dWOEa4Djs all your going to get is a little faster launch time.

CS2 and older will NOT work on Leopard. You will need to upgrade to CS3 or CS4.

Chris, first thing its not really polite to post your question on the thread of another persons question. Especially when your question is completely unrelated and when the thread is over a month old. Not only but is it not vary polite but you will get many more people reading your question if you post it new. the only reason I saw it was because I responded to the original question and I receiver email notices on my responses, otherwise I would never have seen it.
As for your question, unfortunately it is near impossible to trouble shoot your type of issue with out actually being on your machine. There are just to many variables. But here are a couple of things to try. Look to see what is in the trash, so a spotlight search for the name if the files. Also did you by any chance rename your user folder to something different?
If none of those things help then you may want to make an appointment at your computer into your local apple store and let one of the geniuses look at it.

Best solution is to take it to a certified apple technician and let them give you a proper diagnosis.

DVCPRO 50 or DVCPRO HD?

I would ask the people who have that system what formats they can play.

Im not sure why anyplace that has a system for video playback does not have quicktime installed on the machine.

FW800 Drives can often do just fine, but I have notices a significant performance increase in editing when I stitched to a 2 drive esata raid.
