    Hi there –

I tried trashing two empty folders from my desktop on my MBP, by dragging them over to the trash. Now one of them, grayed out, continuously blinks over the trash and is slowing up my computer (lag time between when I click and when an action occurs). I tried restarting, shutting down, ejecting all ext HDs, unplugging…. not sure why this happened or how to fix it.

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

Try selecting it and pressing command+delete that should send it to the trash. Then try emptying the trash via the finder.
