That is a good option. But still bill for every hour your computer is tied up doing that. You cant edit other projects for other clients so you need to be paid for the time your computer is in use.

I don’t think it would be that many DVD’s
That number of DVD’s would be for the DVCPRO HD files. The number of DVDs would be based on the number of hours of footage not the file size of your captured video.

No matter what you decide on, its ether going to take a lot of time to covert to another format or to make tapes etc.
Position it with the client that if you were to convert it or dub tapes etc that you are going to have to bill them hourly for the time it takes. Also let them know that if they want files that will play on a computer that does NOT have FCP on it then the conversion will take quite some time (longer then real time)
I would position it with them that if they want to do it at their location that they would need to pay for your time to convert or they can get themselves a computer with FCP on it. Or they can come into your location to view the footage.
Just be VARY clear that for you to convert the footage for make dubs of the tapes that you will bill them hourly for it. What ever you do don’t do that much work for free.

Oh and for got to say that once you know how many GB of space the project is taking up just to the math for how the duration of the footage vs file size based on the codec you captured in.

Beta testing non Apple software does not mean you have control over what Apple will do.

Yea thats a Mormon wedding video. Mormons mary inside the Temple so there is no photography or filming of the ceremony. This makes for lots of cheesy wedding video.

Christopher the issue here is that you are complaining a LOT about something you have absolutely no control over. Sure there are plenty of features that I would love to have seen in the new studio bundle, just because they are not there does not mean I should whine and act like so self entitled and tell everyone that I deserve to be treated better then this by Apple. No that is not the way to respond when you don’t get what you want.
I choose to look at the changes that have been made to the studio bundle to see how they can improve my work flow. There are plenty of things in the new bundle that will be vary nice.
Sure there are things that I would like to have seen, I would have loved to see it full 64 bit, but im not going to cry and whine over something I can’t control.
