    yes use the track/stabalize controles

open your footage in aftereffects, and create a new comp the same length as your footage

    open the motion tracking window

hit stabalize motion, and youll find a little box with a box inside that and than a cross hare, place this box and crosshare set over somethingdistinct in your footage as it moves across the screan (it’s important that it stays in the whole time, or as much time as possible.

place this over something with a clear luma and chroma difference, like say a small sticker on a wall, (for a better example of motion tracking, watch andrew kramers sky replacement tut. to see the kind of things that should be tracked at http://www.videocopilot.net) any ways your looking for something with an edge and place the crosshares on this edge

after this make sure your tracker is set for stabalize and position check box is checked,
than hit the little play arrow in the window, (known as the analyze forward button) and allow your clip to play out.

than once your clip is done analyzing, hit apply, and choose your dimension.

here’s what ive been looking at while planning (more immagining, and dreaming) my future set up

    also look into these

    https://www.smarthome.com/4403.html

(they are available at fry’s just no picture availabable) these things are awsome, they let you plug any kind of plug in nothing gets in the way

    https://www.millepede.com/products/standard.htm

things like these are awsome, they can keep you bundled and will release when you need to disconeect. i like these better then cable tubes and other things because you only need a few of them, to keep all of your cables organized.

  • i supose ill add onto the question as ive been pondering this, is it also ok to have say, fcp (and some of the studio like dvd studio pro) after effects, word (for typing titles and what not), and some other adobe programs like photoshop, illustrator and such and than safari for any internet action going on?

i was curius about what is ok to have on these drives and what wasn’t,becuase they are all programs i would like to go back and forth between when editing

May 3, 2006 at 6:39 am in reply to: External backup drives – any recommendations?

i have a 500 bigdisk from lacie and know this, the drive is striped, so if one drives dies both do, but they are halfway decent, i preferthough to build my own drives, it’s more cost effective. and more customizing is available.

well, for starters watch andrew kramers tut. on de interlacing at http://www.videocopilot.net and then after rendering, bring it in, and place it into a new comp, right click on the footage and say fit to comp height

quality will be an issue though i will worn you

May 2, 2006 at 9:27 pm in reply to: Making a woman look blind

ok, well a fellow student just “made a blind girl” usign contact lenses, the big big thin you have to remember, is leave in some detail, a completly white eye is not only distracting, but it’s not real, what it should look like is a normal eye with some seriusly milky tones

    kindof a glazed look

also, tell your client that a blind person comes across best with good acting, no substitute
