Does this move comes with two movies one colour and one black and white or it already have alpha channel in the colour fire movie. You can use one stencil alpha. to get your result. Anyway it is one of the stencil blend modes.
Give me more info please if this does not work.

  • is this happening to all of your projects or only to one of them.
I would suggest to copy all assets to a new document and save this document then, try to render that into a ram preview.
We need to investigate this further and eliminate one thing at the time.
Let me know if this is happening to all of your projects please.

Flop filter is very good to flip objects by 180 degrees.

  • Have you tried resetting your preferences for Apple Motion.
To reset preferences of Apple Motion read this article please:
    https://support.apple.com/kb/HT1885

Also you can zap your ram (PRAM)by restarting and holding alt+cmd+ letter P and Letter R together on a restart of your machine. This will reset parameter PRAM. In total you have to hold 4 keys and let your computer chime 3 times, then let go and let the computer start normally. (Make sure you select restart computer and when it shut down and just before it starts up hold those keys).

Sorry we all missed your posts, nothing personal.
Give it a go and let me know did you fix your problems.

  • You can also use Flop Filter to change rotation of the object. Filters/distortion/flop…. (Not the text, you will have to move the text manually).

In the properties of the frame which flickers find lighting/shading change the parameters and see what happens. Also try changing the group from 2d to 3d.

Also check the position of the frame in Z space (check the Z position of the group in which the frame resides).

If this does not help. Delete the group with frame, create new group and place the frame image back, see if you have the same problem.

    I hope this helps…

February 23, 2010 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Motion 3 and Wondertouch particle emitters

Have you tried copying the particles from wondertouch folder then paste them in the Particle Emitters folder where all of your particles of motion are. Do not paste a folder, rather paste the particles in the motion Particle folder. You might find this will work. I am not sure where exactly the folder with particles of motion is. look for application Library/Application Support/Final Cut Studio/Motion/Library/Particle Emitters.

Please make sure that when you open Particle Emitters folder you can see particles inside this folder, if they are there, copy all of your wondertouch emitters inside as explained above.

    Good Luck.

    Hi There,

if your RAM on your Video Card is not working you would not be able to start your computer. If you can start your computer then you have different type of problem I should imagine.
Reset PRAM on your mac, trash the Motion preferences, see if this helps.
See this link it might help you.

See if you did not lock the group by mistake. See the padlock next to the group, it should be open is not select it and click on it to unlock.
    I hope this helps.
