Yes, that actually does help a lot! Except that it’s much more work to save each sequence as a separate file. But in any case it does save me the time of manually adjusting the keyframes throughout the entire project when I want to move everything over.

Does this mean, then, that there is no real solution to making the keyframes stick to the footage?

That is indeed very true…But say you were to take the same high quality footage and render it…How high up on the quality list would mpeg-2 rank as opposed to others? That’s what I really meant by it. This is something I heard from an independent filmmaker/editor, so I cannot attest as to the reliability, in any case (sorry for not mentioning ^^).

Kinda late, but what he means is that mpeg-2 is the actual format that you use for DVDs: the only one with which you can make a DVD movie. It’s known to be of poor quality, but if you use the proper settings (try doing a search) you may come up with decent quality video…

June 7, 2011 at 4:12 am in reply to: Picture Movement Randomization?

Well let me try and make it as simple as possible (I’ve spent the past three hours learning about expressions and have a bit of a better understanding of it, here’s my modified version):

One layer at a time moves on a single vector across the screen, scaling down as it does, from random locations.

I’ve been trying desparately to figure this out but the guide I found (https://www.motionscript.com/mastering-expressions/random-1.html) makes this complicated by constantly building on techniques that I don’t need…
    Any help would be appreciated!

I have the same problem with Hebrew, but found out that you can use the Protype Filter; not only will the language work right, but you can use it as a preset to just position the text so all you have to do is type =)

I opened up the setup file with the intentions of reinstalling, when there was an option (on the installation menu) to install codecs, which I was missing, apparently (even though it worked before).
So DON’T FORGET YOUR CODECS PEOPLES!

Thanks so much for your help, guys, I’ll take your advice. I suppose you’re right; not much you can use special affects for in a documentary…The documentary is actually a mock-documentary (comedy genre), since all my other films have been on a very, well, gloomy note.

My bad, my bad…I was actually wondering what kinds of special affects I can put in it, but alright.
