Hey guys, is there a way to have pictures zoom in/out from random locations in a composition?

Basically, here’s what I need, all in all:
Photos, one by one, appearing on the screen and panning across until they get into place, in some organized fashion, as thumbnails. In fact I don’t even need the thumbnails so much, since I’m not sure if it’ll look good, and it’ll probably make it easier; in that case I would just have them dissolve after a moment, and reappear as blowouts faded out in the background.

But anyway, is there an easy solution (and a cheap one, if I absolutely must spend money on it) to randomize the photos, so as to save me the trouble of animating each one? Thanks so much folks, ‘ppreciate the help!

To have any hope of automating it, you have to be able to define very precisely how you want it to work.

From what you’ve described, I doubt that you’ll find a canned solution. Someone out there may have a template project that’s close to what you have in mind, but I don’t know of any.

Well let me try and make it as simple as possible (I’ve spent the past three hours learning about expressions and have a bit of a better understanding of it, here’s my modified version):

One layer at a time moves on a single vector across the screen, scaling down as it does, from random locations.

I’ve been trying desparately to figure this out but the guide I found (https://www.motionscript.com/mastering-expressions/random-1.html) makes this complicated by constantly building on techniques that I don’t need…
    Any help would be appreciated!
