They are in fact standard tapes, and there is no dropout on the timeline…….maybe the tapes……….do you know anything about my re-rendering question?

    Thanks,

I have a Z1U and can’t get export to tape to work on my camera either….no help from anyone, including Adobe so far. Steve, your suggestion about Cineform 4.0 is well founded, but I downloaded the trial version of 4.0……..no luck. I have not found an answer to this yet, and it basically makes my camera unusable, as that’s the only was to record back into HDV. Very very frustrating!!!

Thanks for that….it also led me to other topics at the Adobe website that helped with various problems……but alas, no this did not solve the problem……..export works great with the old sonyn dv cam, but not with the ZU1, and obviously, that’s a big problem. Anyone out there with this camera and PP2, I would love you to try exporting to tape!!!

    Tim:

That would be great if you have that camera, or any HDV camera for that matter. I am stumped, and can’t beleive Adobe would overlook these cameras……..let me know and thanks.

I bought the download for 2.0 on the Adobe website last night……and actually got a refund this morning as I just bought the upgrade from 6.5 to 1.5 in November….as it was so close to the 2.0 upgrade, they refunded my $ for last night’s download. I actually figured out the multicam recording. I wasn’t in the multicam window, as I didn’t know you had to twirl down this window from the right side of the project window….once I did that, I got the actual multicam window with the record button, and presto, I recorded a multicam segment, very cool.

Thanks for the info on Cineform…….now that the HDV coded is built into 2.0, I didn’t realize that Cineform could still help with things like scene detect. More documentation from Adobe on this would be helpful.

    Thanks for the responses!
