Just downloaded 2.0 last night……captured a few Z1U HDV clips and some standard DV clips and ran into 2 problems:
    1. There appears to be no ‘scene detect’ function for HDV capture. The button was not highlighted and wouldn’t react unless I was capturing DV.
    2. In Multicam, I nested the multicam clips into another sequence as instructed, enabled the multicam view, but there is no record button to actually record the clips. There is no record icon in the source monitor window, and the other method of simply clicking one of the camera previews while they are all simultaneously playing doesn’t initiate recording either. I tried this with both HDV and DV footage in 2 different projects. I can watch 4 streams of video, which is cool, but I can initiate any sort of recorded switching…….no bueno.

Love these new features, but can’t get them to work

    Any suggestions???

Downloaded? Can you post the link to the tryout?

    Thanks

The solution to scene detect is to get Cineform Aspect HD 4.0 which we expect to be available tomorrow. Only a $99 upgrade for previous users, and a bargain at $499 for new users.

The Multi-Camera window has a Jog Wheel and a Shuttle, and to the right of that there is a red button to record with. If you don’t have that, then something is really wrong. But the software is too new to know what is wrong. Sorry.

It takes time before Adobe puts up a tryout. You have to buy the download.

I didn’t realize you can buy and download. Oh the curiosity is going to get the better of me I know it.

Be careful. If you decide to buy the whole package, you will have wasted $199.

When you have created your nested multi-cam sequence and have enabled the multi-cam functionality in the clip, go to your Program Monitor.

In the program monitor, click on the flyout menu and select Multi-camera monitor.

I bought the download for 2.0 on the Adobe website last night……and actually got a refund this morning as I just bought the upgrade from 6.5 to 1.5 in November….as it was so close to the 2.0 upgrade, they refunded my $ for last night’s download. I actually figured out the multicam recording. I wasn’t in the multicam window, as I didn’t know you had to twirl down this window from the right side of the project window….once I did that, I got the actual multicam window with the record button, and presto, I recorded a multicam segment, very cool.

Thanks for the info on Cineform…….now that the HDV coded is built into 2.0, I didn’t realize that Cineform could still help with things like scene detect. More documentation from Adobe on this would be helpful.

    Thanks for the responses!
