    Thanks Norman
I rendered my footage in Vegas as
    MC/AVC/AAC-Bluray 1920×1080-24p 25 Mbps videostream
So the best would be to keep the rendering setting in DVDA the same 25Mbps ?
    Thanks again

    Jake,

Where is the “GoPro-Cineform codec in Vegas 12 ?

As mentioned earlier, the only “Cineform codec” is listed under :
Videos for Windows(.AVI) -> HD 1080-24p YUV Template.
I don’t find any “GoPro -Cineform codec”.

BTW, setting the Video acceleration to OFF, made my render time go from 12 hrs to 4 hrs !

I solved the Hang problem , as several others mentioned previously, with just setting Video acceleration to OFF. I left all the other suggested settings to be changed the same ( preview RAM default, CUDA if available selected)
I wonder when Sony is addressing this mayor mess up ??

This happened with me exactly the same way.
render just stops, counter keeps counting down to zero, elapsed time keeps running, no error message, pc is not frozen, but cancel rendering does nothing.
once the rendering stopped at 80% complete, 70% complete and once at50%complete.
    It’s not a pc issue. intel i7 3930, 32 GB ram, GTX680
cpu never gets over 35 deg C because of water cooled.
BTW, this is a V12 issue, it never happened with V10, 11

February 18, 2013 at 6:31 am in reply to: missing markers

    Hi John,
Sorry for not being more specific.
In Vegas Pro 12, I rendered as Sony AVC with “Save project markers in rendered media ” selected in Meta Data Options.
Then I imported the rendered file into DVD Architect and the markers did not show up in the timeline.
There is an icon on the timeline in Architect “Load Markers” but I thought that’s only used if you add markers directly on the timeline in Architect.

February 11, 2013 at 10:48 pm in reply to: green fade

I figured out that the green fade occurs when I apply the Sony LAB Adjust as Track FX. No matter what Preset,Default or other values I apply with the LAB Adjust, so I guess to avoid the green fade, I have to use Sony’s Saturation Adjust filter in order to properly desaturate. Any other idea’s ?
    Thanks

    Thanks, Graham.

I will select CUDA wherever available while rendering, however, there is no GPU video acceleration choice, just “off”
