is it possible to have something wrong with the software? should I reinstall it? This is the first time I have ever had this problem and I have made many DVDs.

The audio plays intermitently, moving along on the time line, just cutting in and out as it progresses. thanks

You are awesome! It was #2, the registry problem. How in the world did you know about this? Thank you so much, I would have never figured it out.

When Rendering to MPEG-2 DVDA video stream, what do the different options under Custom settings mean. In the Video tab, there are options such as Video quality, Varible/constant bit rate, I frames, B frames. How do these effect the final quality and what should they be set to inorder to get the best quality. Thanks

How do I “pass that attribute” to the rest of the clips. That is where I am stuck. The only way I know how to do it is to go individuallly to each clip and I have many clips on a time line.

I am new and not sure how to do the mask that you are referring to. What do you think is the simpelest thing for me to do to get my final product 16:9?

Thanks for the information, I will try it out. As far as rendering, I did what you reccomended, but all I got was a tall and thin version that still was in 4:3 ratio. This is why I was trying to figure out another way to get my rendered product to 16:9.
