I am unable to get “custom” options when I try to render as MPEG2. I save as type MPEG2, set template to DVDA NTSC video stream. Problem is that I want to change the default bit rates under Custom, but when I click the button, nothing happens. I read how to change the settings in Edward Troxel Newsletter, but can’t get the options. I am using Vegas 6.0c. I do get custom options with other file types, just not with MPEG2. Can anyone help me with this one. Thanks in advance

    There are two possibilities:

    1) You’re using Vegas Movie Studio which does not allow you to access the Custom settings

    2) You’re using the full version of Vegas and need to try the following:

You are awesome! It was #2, the registry problem. How in the world did you know about this? Thank you so much, I would have never figured it out.

That’s why I started that FAQ section – to compile little tid-bits like that which have been discovered over the years.
