May 1, 2011 at 8:33 am in reply to: DV PAL – reversed field-order

    Hi christian,

i have the same probleme with dv since years and years.
Wrote many time to bm and this forum, but never get a
    faluable answer.
I hoped with every new driver, that i would be solved.
But after years i gaved up.
Now, when i have DV-material i digitalize it
with a DVCam deck with SDI out.

I know, it don´t help you, but i can tell you,
    you are not alone 😉

    Hi,
    do you have mp3?
    i remarked, when i have mp3, PPro5 imported them
and after that the folder of the mp3 was
    much bigger than before.
Example: i had a folder with 50 mp3 and after
conforming audio the folder was something like 2 or 3 GByte!
(I don´t remimber exact, i am at home and not in office)
    But it was really extreme.
A workaround: import songs as wav, not as mp3. then the folder
    stays small

  • Hi Daniel,

try Mainconcept Reference v2 (you can download it as demo).
It´s a great program, you can select Decklink as input and capture
    in every wanted codec….h.264, mpeg4,
Flash, in Blue-Ray, ipod, psp,p2, AVCHD, HDV, DV, XDCAM, DVCPRO and so on…. and your desired mpeg2.

June 28, 2010 at 7:56 am in reply to: any news on my 7.6.4 driver problem for PPro CS5?

    Hi,

until i changed to cs5 i still worked with cs2 and deckling 6.4 driver
    because this combination i stabel.
i tried cs3 and cs4 with deckling driver and had alway problems.
So now with CS5. one problem more with cs5: i remarked that the clips captured in mjpeg are more less in quality than the clip i captured in cs2 and 6.4 driver. when i have a clip b.e. with on coloure b.e. blue sky, the compression is not really good.
I bought a Mojo SDI on ebay and i´m testing MC 5.0.
It´s stable but it´s a big change, you have to make much clicks to have the same result!! 🙂
(But i need something stable with a good quality….for the moment it´s not possible with CS5 and 7.4.1 Decklink!!!)

My life is great, but my edit-System sucks 😉

May 13, 2010 at 8:47 am in reply to: How to export mpeg1 in PPro CS5 (full version)

    Hi,

    first thanks for the reponse.
The reason is: my clients need a copy to look at the film
    and make their voice-over text.
mpeg1 is nearly the only codec that runs at even old computers
with only Media player installed, you don´t have to
install anything (for dvd, mp4 and so on you need other
    players, that are not installed).
mpeg1 can everyone open and take a look at!!
    so simple!
i don´t have to worry:”…i hope my client can look at it!!”

    Thanks

    Claus

    ps i hope mainconcept will make a export-plug-in 😉

December 10, 2009 at 10:22 am in reply to: Blackmagic 7.4 Premiere 4.2 – Print to tape, out of sync.

    Hi,

jepp, also same problem…for the moment is decklink
    not really usably..

    i have some more problems:
-when rendering the green bar over the clip dissapears..
i have to zoom in or out in the timeline to see if
    the clip is rendered!
-Next problem: when i dublicate a timeline to make changes
i have to render all the clips again in the new timeline.
(in the old timeline they stay rendered!!!)
-when i edit dv and apply a effect, i have after i rendered the
clip a “line jump”!!! (Very old problem, posted many times!!!)
    – When i open a project, many times premiere has to (i don´t
know how it is in englich!) “apply” the audio for all clips
again (right bottom corner in premiere)
    – Also when i reopen a project Premiere has to render some effects again!!!
    – The serial device Control doesn´t work!!! Some “com” Problem
I have to use Decklink Device control, and this one is long not so good as serial device Control!!!!
    – When i capture in mjep the picture quality is really bad!!
    – DVPro capture has drop frames!!!
    – When i render clips, they change a liitle bit of croma-level!

Really really bad 7.4 driver (many of those problems i had also with 7.2 and 7.0 driver)
I tried 7.4 with Premiere Pro 4.2 in Win XP and Windows vista and Windows 7… on different Mainboards with 4 different Decklink Cards and different grafik cards…difeerent RAM and even with Sata Controlle or without Sata Controller different Hard disks!!!! In any configuartion i had the same problems!!!!

So please Decklink guys, don´t tell you never heard about
    some of this problems!!!
And please don´t ask me about my configuration (it alway the
same question) i use recommanded boards…latest driver and so on.

So just work a little less with your davinci and make decklink
    now work!!!!
For the moment is stepped back to PPro 2 and 6.4 drivers.
This one work okay (exept the DV Problem!)
I am really tired about testing your drivers…

May 1, 2009 at 7:46 pm in reply to: Vista does not see my Sony 330 XDCAM

    Hi Thomas,

i had the same problem….no way to use the FAM-Mode with XDCAM.
    I tried everthing……many days ;-(

I found a solution…..just install the drivers, as it should be.
And then plug in you cam via firewire……..the computer
will detect the cam, but you can´t juse it.
now go to devices where you will find the cam (other items) with a little question mark beside it, an install the driver manual.
Send me you email adress to cpwolf(at)gmx.de and i will send you the inf-driver file you need to make a manual installation….it will work
