    Ruby,

First I have to say with using a lav mic you will be able to cut a lot more than if you were using a shotgun, or other mic system … What are you recording into? I use a wireless system and record into a portable Tascom digital 8 track … The noise you want to get rid of can be bothersome because of the shared frequencies with voice, but it isn’t impossible … You will need to bring the clip into the EDIT side of the program and highlight JUST THE NOISE you would like to remove … Once you do that go to EFFECTS > NOISE REDUCTION > NOISE REDUCTION > CAPTURE NOISE PROFILE … Once you capture the profile highlight the whole clip go to EFFECTS > NOISE REDUCTION > NOISE REDUCTION … Here is where you MUST take care not to remove too much of the noise at once … I like to remove it by about 62% and if I need more I reduce the percentage … When you preview and it sounds like people are talking in a rain barrel you are going too far … If you would like you can always E-mail a short clip to me and I will see if I can come up with a suitable FFT file for you to use … My E-mail is loganonestudio@aol.com … Good luck …….. Go to the multi track side and then click on the tab across the top that says INCERT, now scroll down to audio from there go to where your MP 3 is saved click on it and hit OK … It should incert … Once you do then you can do a SAVE AS and save it as an PCM wave file … IF Audition still doesn’t see it then it is most likely your download that has a problem …….. Does your install of Audition see any MP3’s? Try and download again only save as PCM wave file … Did you try and insert it on the session side? WILLIE

    Ron,

Audition does have a filter for voice removal, however I haven’t really tried it and don’t know how effective it is … I am at work and don’t have the program in front of me and am brain farting on it’s location … Go to the effects tab and look for it in noise removal … If you can’t find it look in the help file ………. Max,

Echo is almost impossable to remove … The best thing that you can do is try and EQ and compress to try and put it into the background … If you like you could E-mail a couple minute clip to me and I can see if I can come up with a workable solution … If you chose to do so you can E-mail it to loganonestudio@aol.com … I can’t say I can help but I will certainly give it a try … WILLIE

    Jim,

Bring your clip back into Audition expand it so you can see the click now go to VIEW>SPECTRAL VIEW make sure that the marquee tool “M” is selected and starting at the bottom of the click highlight it … Now go to your Click/pop eliminator and at the bottom of that page you will see REMOVE SINGLE CLICK … This will remove that click … If it is over music or voice sometimes it will degrade it, but for the most part the feature works fairly well …………… WILLIE
