Maybe I am missing it. When I try to record a CD with Audition, it says “no devices found.” Says the same thing if I go to Options/CD device properties.

My PC has a CD/DVD recorder that works fine with other apps. How do I get Audition to recognize my CD burner?

    Jim,

I have used this feature and believe me you are money ahead by sticking with the write program that you are used to using …

Well, the heading of course should read “does NOT see” and I’m still stumped.

My Dell 8400 has both a CD burner and a CD/DVD burner-Audition seems to not know either one is there. I’ve even tried reinstalling Audition and no help.

It’s probably a conflict with other CD burning programs you have on your machine – particularly InCD or other packet writing CD software.

    Try this:-

    1. perform the registry edit documented at https://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=320553

    2. Uninstall Nero and Ahead InCD software

    3. Uninstall Audition

    4. Reboot

    5. Reinstalled Audition

    6. Reboot again

    Thanks, I will try this.

Sounds like the choice may be Audition or Nero, but maybe not both.
