  • Derrick,

I use external compression, but you can compress with the progran, just not in real time and still meet your 5 min deadline … Do you have any VST filters? The multiband compressor would do the job and it would only take a couple of minutes to apply … If you don’t have that just go to EFFECTS > AMPLITUDE > DYNAMIC PROCESSING … I could E-mail you the multiband VST if you would like ….. Mark,

There are a couple other filters as well, one is in the FFT filters and it’s called TELEPHONE … I would play with the settings I think you might end up being successful and get the sound you are looking for … If you have P Pro on your computer you have the VST filters and in the MULTIBAND COMPRESSOR there is another voice filter as well ……………. Bruce,

Yes, bring it into audition on the session or multi track side … This is simply done by going to the insert tab at the top left of the screen INSERT > AUDIO FROM VIDEO … Once the clip is in take and highlight about a minute or so of the troubled area now go to EDIT > MIXDOW TO FILE > SELECTED AUDIO CLIPS … This will mixdown just the highlighted area and will place it onto the edit side of the program … Next go to FILE > SAVE AS once you get the screen up choose a place where you can locate it and save it as an MP3 PRO file … Now close Audition it is going to ask you if you want to save the session, just say no to everything … Next open your E-mail and attach the MP3 file ……….. Mark,

Is the playback from your CD and Audition going through the same soundcard? Check your computers mixer and see where the levels are set … Most CD’s are normalized to -.1db … The industry standard used to be -6db … Try normalizing your track to -.1 and then compare the two … I wouldn’t even worry about volumes until mixing and then final mixdown ……….
