Suggestion, stick with 1.5 till Adobe works out the bugs in 2.0 … Now to the problem at hand … Can you take the the out from your hp workstation and run it directly into your line in jack of your sound card? I have never used the avid so I am going to ask a dumb question, is there any advantage in using it VS just going directly from your workstation to your computer and why don’t you just eliminate everything and just go from your mixing board to your computer … Since I record everything dry in my studio setup my only outboard equipment is tube mic pre’s and compressor limiters, then from my board it goes into my computer …… WILLIE

I would certainly choose a tube pre … I use the TUBEPRE by presonus for guitar mic’s and electric ………… WILLIE

OK, here is what I need, I need to know what version of Audition you are using, your system config, (from mic to computer and everything in between)… I am sure your problem is in the way you have things configured ………. WILLIE

Sounds like you need to go to the re-wire … On the session or multi track side go to options > device properties > re-wire … Check in your device order to see if it is listed first, if so select what you want to use for an input and then make sure that the tracks have the same input selected ……… WILLIE

What you hear is as good as it gets … The center channel extraction in Audition leaves a bit to be desired … It will remove the voice and any “like freqency’s” … The remaining voice you hear is because the voice is panned left and right as well as center, sorry …….. WILLIE

Simple problem, Audition needs an AVI file not a windows media file …

First check to see that it’s not listed on the DEVICE ORDER page … On the MUlti track side go to OPTIONS > DEVICE ORDER > RECORDING DEVICES if you see it there just add it to the MULTI TRACK DEVICE PREFERENCE LIST by highlighting it, then click on ADD then OK … If you don’t see it you will need to do a re-wire … On the multi track side go to OPTIONS > DEVICE PROPERTIES > RE-WIRE You should be able to see your mic as long as your computer has recognized it … Once Audition sees it you will have to make it the default recording device by clicking the IN button at the left side of any track, select it and then check SAME FOR ALL TRACKS and then hit OK …………..
