Yes, they are low … I would boost them to a min of -1db but as low as they are you may end up with a noise floor issue …………. WILLIE

No shortcuts here, sorry … To do the job right you will have to lower and raise the volumes manually … WILLIE

  • Well, I have to disagree with you about exporting into audition … Personally I just export the audio from Pre Pro and then insert it into the session side of audition, clean it up and then replace the original audio with the edited version in Pre Pro, it may add about 30 seconds to the edit time ………………. Why not just add the rumble as another audio track in Pre Pro this way you can adjust it exactly where you want it in the edited sequence ………. WILLIE

    Steve,

I can safely say that it’s not Audition but I would still try to remove completely and re-install … What is the speed on your hard drives? How much ram do you have? I record on external hard drives connected via USB 2 and still don’t have latency problems … Your record setup is acceptable … If Emmet is out there maybe he might have some ideas … What format are you recording in? You should be recording your tracks as WAV files …………. WILLIE

First off what version of audition are you running? 2.0 just has a ton of problems … I haven’t done much with 3.0 but what I have done has given me reason for pause … I am happy with 1.5 and don’t see any reason to change … What kind of soundcard do you have, it could be causing the latency issue? What is your recording setup to the computer, (do you go through a board, audio interface, or direct into the computer via mic or line in) What are your computers spec’s … Audition may have trouble if you have vista as an operating system … Personally I don’t ever recall having this problem … Need to know your session settings, are you recording in 441? Did you try to uninstall and reinstall ………… WILLIE

Adobe removed audition because they were getting too much negative feedback that audition was just too much program for most video oriented people … That is why they developed soundbooth a very low end audio editing program and made audition a stand alone program … I would stick with 1.5 if you can find it, if not E-mail me at loganonestudio@aol.com and I can help you with your search …….. You need to bring your file into the edit side highlight “JUST THE NOISE” then open the noise removal tool save that as an FFT … Now highlight the entire wave, open the noise removal tool and bring in the saved FFT … WILLIE
