Thank you for your response. This a banquet hall. The room is quite large, but the dance floor area is about 30 feet x 70 feet at one end of the room. The dance floor is raised with the ceiling (dropped ceiliing) about 9 ft high. the speakers are bose 802. These will be wall mounted in the opposite corners. There are floor to ceiling mirrors on the “back wall”. My concern is that having the speakers pointing at each other will create acoustical anamolies as the sound waves collide and the delay that you may experience when you are not equidistant from each speaker. Hopefully this makes sense.

March 14, 2009 at 5:52 pm in reply to: What’s the best way to archive and store Adobe Premiere Pro?I am pulling this all from memory so dont ridicule me if my terminology is wrong, but go to your project menu and then look for “trim project” or “copy project” these two options will move all of your used files into one location for archiving (there is a difference between the two so do a quick help search). Depending on the size you may be able to burn them to DVD or move them to an external backup drive.

Kevin,
You really should invest some time looking into and figuring out how to create, use and save actions. These handy little features will save you loads of time. The ROI (return on investment) is probably one of the largest I can think of in terms of time spent learning : time saved using. It may seem daunting now, but once you realize how easy they are to create and use you will wonder why you didnt use these before. I would outline the steps here, but PS help does a fantastic job. Good luck.

Unfortunately not. Each occurrence will have to be edited individually or you will have to remove the filter and do the copy paste actions again. Be careful not to add multiple color correction filters. It may degrade image quality and add to the rendering time. Unless that is what your intentions were. Good luck.

It sounds like you are trying to mask the ball to reveal your fingers. Instead try duplicating your hand layer and place one above and below the lightning ball layer in your timeline. From there mask your hand on the top layer to the degree where only your fingers in front of the ball are visible. This should give you the effect you are looking to achieve. It’s all about layering. Hope this helps.

Clint,
I believe you are comparing apples to oranges here. The .896MB XFX GTX 260 Black, 666MHz GPU , 216 Cores, 2300GHz GDDR3 is a video display card and the Matrox is a video capture card. You could probably get both of these into your system. Not sure of any potential conflicts, but I am sure both sites have compatability pages to head off any issues.
Good luck,

Sean,
I would capture and keep a copy of your finished product at the highest resolution possible. You never know when you will need it again and for what purpose/resolution. Locking yourself into a web only product limits future reutilization.

Dan,
If you havent figured this out already:
Copy the edit that has the color correction applied. Then select the edits that you would like to apply the same correction to by holding down shift and clicking on them. From there right click on one of the selected files and select paste properties.
This should save you loads of time.

February 26, 2009 at 6:13 pm in reply to: Removing lines from captured shots of LCD monitorMichael,
I If you have the time to reshoot the footage, try adjusting the shutter on your camera to remove the scanning lines. LCDs are different from CRTs so I am not sure how effective this will be. havent tried this with HD footage, but I have used this technique quite successfully in SD.
I am not sure if you can remove the flicker in post.
Good luck.

Joe,
Look at your fill property and adjust the transparency. The fill property can be found in the layers panel below transparency. This adjust the transparency of your object and not affect the effects such as drop shadow or stroke. Good luck.
