Web Only
Posted by Sean Tatalovich on February 26, 2009 at 12:25 amIf capturing purely for computer/web use do I have to capture at 1080i? Can’t I just capture at 30p?
I shot in 30p but it is in 1080i

The exception might be HDV camcorders that can down convert HD to SD in the camera during capture.
Project (CS3) or Sequence (CS4) settings should match the properties of the video.
1080i refers to the resolution (1920×1080) and the i is for interlaced fields. -

I would capture and keep a copy of your finished product at the highest resolution possible. You never know when you will need it again and for what purpose/resolution. Locking yourself into a web only product limits future reutilization.
