It Actually very simple to do – The H4n and most of the ZOOM products use a 5V input at around 2AMP. Which is what most powerbanks pump out. All you need is the right mini jack power adaptor jack and you can make it yourself. Just make sure that connect centre positive on the jack

February 21, 2017 at 11:33 am in reply to: how do you copy a range from the timeline and paste it somewhere else ? (seems silly but …)Hi
I use this technique all the time. Have been since FCP 7. I create TV shows for Supersport in South AFrica, So I will create a lower third with text and make it look cool…. Keyframe movements etc. Then all that I will do is copy and paste it to the different places where I need it. I even do that with footage, works well

I made a copy of the Event Folder and opened it with FCPX10.3.2 – It took a while but it seems to have worked. The project folders opening now. Not quite sure what the issue was. Any input will be welcomed.

February 21, 2017 at 6:21 am in reply to: FCPX 10.1.4 Opens Event – But beachballs project fileBecause I am still using FCP 7 for certain projects a client started with me, and we cannot change just as yet. If I go 10.3.2 I have to change operating system and that means many of the legacy stuff I am using wont work.

Hi
I Import the files directly from the camera archives – If the files cannot be imported into FCPX like in the case of MT2 files , I convert with Clipwrap and then pull them in – Problem is that FCP does not use the folder I placed the media in as a Reel name in the Event I created… So basically it won’t allow you to rename the REEL with in the EVENT !! Which is a bit stupid me thinks

I checked that. NOT permissions. FCP7 saves to save drive and no issues there. It’s a server drive… Only since the 10.3.1 update have I had this

October 23, 2014 at 3:19 pm in reply to: Any suggestions? Panasonic AG-AC160, Sony HVR-Z5U or Sony HXR-NX5U NXCAM?Hi
Well I have had all 3 cameras. My choice is the Panasonic. I will give u my reasons simple. It can do what ever the other two can…. BUT consider this. The z5 is a nice cam but a bit dated. Also it cannot shoot 720p. With the z5 ure also stuck on using more expensive CF cards. I had 2 NX cams and both gave me lens issues. Both were replaced by Panasonics. The Panasonic is an awesome robust camera. The battery life might not be as good as the sonys BUT in my opinion a more robust camera. The Panasonics work flow with FCPX and FCP 7 is unmatched

I’m on 10.1.3…. !? Very weird

I am having the same issue….
Worked on a project last night 30 hours worth – FCPX 10.1.3 just shut down — Bang !!!!
Now it won’t open the library folder.
If you try open a backup … It goes well till it tries to open the library folder….;
VERY FRUSTRATING !!!!!
