    Hi Jason,

Aside from the usual “your mileage may vary” disclaimers, the set up you’re using should be fine. When it came out, we made some changes to accommodate Time Machine by no longer saving media folders at the root of the drive. It’s been out for a while now and thus far we haven’t traced any problems back to it’s use.

    Olof,

    Check this one out.

    ftp://ftp.media100.com/pub/software/Media100i/QuickRef_V8.pdf

There are some shortcuts that have been added recently that are not in this doc, but it’s the best “all in one place” source for keyboard shortcuts that we have have right now.

I’m working on creating a new up to date version.

    Hey Joe,

You describe bringing the file in via Boris…

What if you import it directly to a Bin in Media 100 and then put it over some video in the Program?

    How’s that look?

Have you tried the “Deferred” option?

It breaks up the copying/transcoding job into two separate tasks, thus making it easier for the computer to keep up.

    Hey Olof,

    1. Alt key is (of course) also known as Option. As Floh wrote, holding it down while dragging multiple clips to a bin brings discrete clips to the bin rather than a compound clip.

    2. Right-clicking on a clip (or clips) in a bin should offer an option to conform.

    Okay,

I’ve got an idea but it’s going to be a bit too complicated to get into via a forum. Send me an email at support@media100.com so we can dig deeper.

For all the folks watching at home, don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated when there’s something to tell.

    Hi John,

No ideas yet but I do have questions!

    – What version of M100?
    – DV or HDV?
    – What codec are you capturing to?
    – Are you absolutely SURE you’re not running QuickTime 7.5.5?

Could be a case of dueling color spaces. What is the codec of the media you are exporting?

November 3, 2008 at 1:22 pm in reply to: V12/13 compatability – is this a SIlly Question?

Right, the new Multi-Channel Audio Output stuff in v13 puts all kinds of stuff in the Program that v12.5 just can’t understand.

    Hi Zeno,

Funny you should ask. We’ve been working on that very thing for the last couple of weeks. We should have something available soon. While we’re on the subject, is there anything in particular that you’re interested in?
