We haven’t any direct experience with the device, but I have a few thoughts re: your questions:
– The only red flag that comes up for me on the 100Mbps format is that it’s “Long GOP”. This could be an issue for us as we’re an I-Frame ONLY app.
– We tackled a few 24-bit audio problems for the latest release, so it “should” be okay. If not, we’ll tackle that one too.

I’m always afraid to answer questions like this ’cause it almost always leads to “what about my bug?” posts.
Let’s just say Floh got the hint about the cause and the workaround from someone here 😉 So you can expect there will be a proper fix “real soon”.

I’m igonring you on purpose because I’m waiting to have a meeting on this very subject on Monday with our Engineers and QA dept.Anecdotally, I’d say it’s fine. However, given how difficult it is to back up your OS, I don’t want to rush it.

I’m sure you’re coming to this conclusion on your own but…
Media 100 i never handled embedded SDI audio. Perhaps you can run analog audio around the Convergent Design box? Although… watch out for audio sync… it’s possible that there will be a delay between the two signals.
