Oh… C’MON!
Don’t drop something like this on me right before I go to bed.
Are you serious? That’s got to be the weirdest one I’ve heard in at least three years.
I’ll take a look at it in the morning and call you right away with the results. That’ll be about 4:30am your time, that’s okay, right? 😉

Sorry Harry,
v13.0.x is just not going to work on Snow Leopard. It just makes no business sense at all for us to put engineering and testing resources into an older version when we just finished pouring those same resources into our latest version, Media 100 Suite.

Good News. It looks like we CAN reproduce your problem. This is good ’cause it means I can have an Engineer look at it and figure out how to fix it.
Also good because I was able to verify that my idea of clicking to the Finder and back to the Acquire Tool grabs the sync very quickly every time.
So for now, I strongly advise you to use this trick to get the sync locked. I think that anyone looking over your shoulder will hardly even notice 😉
Be assured that I am by no means suggesting this is the solution. We will address the problem as quickly as possible if it’s something we can control. In the meantime, however, this is your best workaround.
Let me know if this works.

I’m currently sitting still in a lovely Monday morning traffic jam, so I haven’t been able to try anything yet.
However, I thought of another question.
What Matrox driver version have you got? Best for M100 Suite should be 1.5.1

Thanks. I’ll replicate your setup today and see what I can find.

– v1 or v1.0.1?
– What I/O hardware?
– If AJA, what driver version?
– What device are you acquiring from?– As an alternative to switching between Acquire and Program… what if you click out to the Finder and back again while in acquire?

Either works. I always use NDD.

Arrrgggghh!!!!!!
In my haste to get this release availabe to eveyone I forgot to mention perhaps the most significant thing about it…
It uses the AJA v6.5 Drivers!!!
I’ll do a fresh post once I’ve had some coffee so those that come after you brave early adopters have a smoother the of it.

Sorry about that. Forgot to mention that this replaces v1.0 so all you need to do is download the Suite v1 installer and you’ll find that it installs v1.0.1.

Hi John,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The truth is it is because we have been unable to reproduce your problem with the media you send us. (although it DID help us fix another unrelated bug. Thanks!)
So… I’m beginning to think that your troubles are install-related.
I’ll be in touch with you via email about what to try next as, at this point, it’s pretty safe to say that your problems are specific to you and your system.
