I was never able to find my answer. I had to go through each one and change the timecode and because that was painful I convinced offline to change some shots to ones that worked.
Unfortunately my time was limited on DaVinci so I wasn’t able to run tests of clips and such. Hopefully someone who has access to a DaVinci can experiment. Would love to know too! Or maybe the new version corrected a bug.

I will test tonight and let you know!
The video doesn’t have any audio so it’s just V1. I figured when I synced sound it was adding tracks that didn’t match up since none were there. Only need the video changed. We shall see what happens.
Thanks

Thanks!
I was trying to keep transcoding outside of Avid (RedCine) So I could still work. It sounded too good to be true. I think by syncing audio files to the AMA video would change the amount of tracks and not link up. It’s what I get for trying to do 2 things at once 🙂 I’ll go back to the traditional transcode and then sync 🙁
Tho I’ll test this for a bit and repost if I come up with something. There’s gotta be a way!

Thanks. I restarted, new project and settings and it still seems to be doing it. R3D files from different shows work fine, it’s just this particular bunch. They were transcoded at the same time same way and it’s n the data just doesnt want to be in pool!
I’ll email support.

Thanks, Tested it both ways but it still seems to be doing the same thing.

Thanks, just did that and still the greyed out shows up with “missing” in the front. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong with one little setting. Just not sure sure which.

I tried but noticed the 2.0 is for snow leopard only. I’m still on 10.5.8. I did unplug and restart the Matrox and now FCP from the view menu has the Matox listed but it’s grey out and starts with the word “missing” in brackets.
hmmmmm

Ahh Quicktime. That’s probably it. Don’t have time or the patience to do an OS. I have so many other programs that would get wiped away. Leave it to Apple to make you buy more stuff. Grr. Oh well.
Thanks!

Nevermind! I just was adjusting the quicktime and not the text layer. I got it now.
Thanks for reading anyways 🙂

I was interested in the link you posed to get more info on the RED workflow but the link doesn’t work.

Is there another link to follow?
Thanks so much 🙂
