Not without a plug-in from Automatic Duck. The current version of the AE importer is Pro Import AE 3.0.
https://www.automaticduck.com/piae/AE 6.5 (professional) can import OMF media files all by itself, but not compositions.

What are the “time units” set to?
If it were set to 30 you’d set the “starting frame” to 540000 to get 5 hours.
So start there and adjust accordingly.

FCP is not designed to let you go backwards, no.
You can export XML 1.0 out of FCP 5 and import that into 4.5

As far as I know Avid’s DNxHD codecs are only available on Windows.

I’m not sure that Panther has any impact on whether 4.6 performs well or not. So yes, 4.6 has issues, but I’m not sure it is the fault of the OS.

Xpress Pro 4.6 will work with Panther, however 4.8 requires Tiger.

PAL is 720×576, no matter if your in DV or D1.

The comp you render should be 720×576, not 768×576. I would not render to OMF, instead render to QuickTime. I would choose the Avid Codec and render to the compression you wish to use in your Avid.

Make sure the color version is rendered with the color channels set to STRAIGHT.
